SWATCH: Born Pretty Holo Polish 10

I was initially disappointed with this polish because I expected it to be pretty much opaque and it’s actually really sheer. As you can see in the photos, it’s very sheer and only reaches opacity in three coats. I feel it works best combined with a darker blue or teal polish underneath (I used Kiko “341” on my pointy).

That being said, I love the colour of this polish (my two favourites are on my middle finger (three coats) and pointy finger (two coats over Kiko “341”). It’s a gorgeous shimmery teal/turquoise and of all my holographic polishes, this one shows the effect the most. Unfortunately my camera didn’t fully capture the effect (thank you, fickle British sun!), but trust me when I say it looks gorgeous both under artificial light and sunlight.

SWATCH: Barry M “Pacific”

This is Pacific, a gorgeous duo-chrome polish from Barry M's Aquarium Collection. As you can see, it's a very shimmery duo-chrome that looks teal-turquoise-blue-greenish, depending on the colour.

This polish is pretty opaque, though I did apply two coats to get best coverage. Application, as usual with Barry M polishes, was easy. As you can tell, “Pacific” has a gorgeous shimmery and shiny finish, amplified by a layer of topcoat (Sally Hansen "Insta-dry").

Pacific instantly makes it pretty high onto my favourites list, the colour(s) is gorgeous and application and consistency are lovely. I’m a big fan!

Tried my luck again with Lucy's amazing tutorial for lace nails, as I wasn’t quite happy with how the previous set turned out. Those of you who’ve been following me for a while will recognise this polish instantly - that’s how much I use it! It is of course Pupa “Holographic Denim Blue”

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!

I tried to do a manicure with real clover leaves. However, the ones growing in my back yard turned out to be too large. There were some smaller ones that did fit onto my nails, but they didn’t react well to the nail polish. Sad times! =(

So instead, here’s a swatch of P2's “Start Wild”, part of the Lost in Glitter collection. Gorgeous, isn't it?

This is one of the first manicures I ever favourited, and I’ve been meaning to recreate it for about two years. I finally got around to it now! Make sure to check out the original manicure by MadManis.
